I started Slumber Parties in August of 2003, at the time I was desperately looking for a job. I was staying home with my children and living pay check to pay check. After trying the world of working mothers I found that between sick children and having to take time off work and driving 45 minutes away just to get to work we weren't coming out ahead so I continued looking for something better. I checked other party plans and they either weren't interesting enough or the start up costs were too high. A friend finally told me about Slumber Parties and it changed my life forever. I KNEW it was exactly what I was looking for and I didn't have to give up staying home with my children to be successful. Almost 6 years later and I've never looked back! Slumber Parties has been everything myself and my family needed. We no longer worry about where the money is coming from, I get paid every single time I do a party. I am the one who decides when I work not some boss telling me I have to miss my kids' soccer game because they need me to answer phones. And I am home when my children need me.
